Ne Les Oublions SSA.jpg

God Be In My Head

This is a new musical setting of a well known sacred text for SA treble choir, with piano (or organ) accompaniment.  The opening modal melody is sung in unison at the start and is then repeated with a descant. This composition allows for solo opportunities at the discretion of the musical director. A gentle and serene composition reflecting the sentiment of the sacred text, the frequent use of the minor 7th broken chord giving a modern edge to this modal work.

Ne Les Oublions SSA.jpg

The Lord Bless Thee

This is a new setting of this well-known sacred text and is available in unison, two part and SSA versions. The lyrical melody covers a range of just over an octave and fluctuates between G major and G mixolydian flat 6. The melody moves mainly in steps and the use of repetition makes it easily remembered and an ideal choice for the beginner choir. Supported with a relatively simple piano accompaniment.

The three part version provides greater harmonic and melodic challenges, and extends the upper range to a high A flat.
